Drilling Rigs for Sale in Dammam

What to check before buying drilling rigs

Before you commit to buying drilling rigs, work through these checks:

• Line up the key figures for drilling rigs: mast height. Check each against the data plate and the manufacturer's data for the model.
• Confirm what tooling, accessories and spares come with the machine.
• Ask for the ownership and registration documents and check that they match the machine's serial number.
• Arrange an inspection before you pay, ideally by someone independent of the seller.

Drilling Rigs by brand

Brands with their own pages: Epiroc and Sandvik. A brand page helps if you need a specific make for operator familiarity or parts support.

What affects the price of drilling rigs for sale

Two quotes for drilling rigs can differ widely for good reasons. Check these factors when you compare:

• Condition and hours: a lower hour-meter reading and a documented service history usually support a higher price.
• Location and transport: moving heavy equipment adds cost that depends on distance and machine size.
• Attachments and extras: any accessories, tooling or covers that come with the machine can change the price.

Typical projects for drilling rigs in Dammam

Dammam is the capital of the Eastern Province and a leading commercial and port city on the Saudi Gulf coast, close to the Kingdom's oil and gas facilities. You will often see drilling rigs on oil and gas sites. In construction, drilling rigs are a more specialised choice.

Other jobs that call for them: water well and borehole drilling, as well as geotechnical site-investigation boreholes.

Industrial areas, ports and project sites such as King Abdulaziz Port, Dammam, as well as Dammam Second Industrial City are part of the picture around Dammam. Say which site you are working at so suppliers can quote delivery properly.

If the machine you want is not in Dammam, a supplier in a nearby city may be able to deliver it: Al Khobar (about 20 km), Dhahran (about 15 km) and Jubail (about 80 km), measured in a straight line. Tell us if you are flexible on where the machine starts from.
