Forklifts for Rent in Dammam

What to consider when renting forklifts

Use this checklist when you compare offers for forklifts:

• Start from the specification: rated lifting capacity and max lift height are what separate one set of forklifts from another, so note them down before you ask for rates.
• Forklifts are usually hired without an operator unless the listing says otherwise; if your crew is not qualified to run one, ask for an operator with the machine.
• Check the ground and the route. Lifting machines need firm, level ground to work on, and the delivery route must take the machine's weight and size.
• Ask what delivery and return cost, who loads and unloads, and the condition the machine must be returned in.
• Rates on Arabian Tool are in SAR and exclude VAT, so ask whether your quote is inclusive or exclusive.

Choosing the right forklift size

Forklifts are usually specified by rated lifting capacity. On Arabian Tool you can browse these classes: 2-ton, 3-ton, 5-ton, 7-ton and 16-ton.

Brands with their own pages: Toyota, Hyundai, Hyster and Mitsubishi. A brand page helps if you need a specific make for operator familiarity or parts support.

What affects the price of renting forklifts

Quotes for forklifts differ from supplier to supplier. These are the factors that move the price:

• Operator and fuel: check whether the rate is for the machine alone or includes an operator, fuel and overtime.
• Site and access: remote sites, restricted access and special permits can add cost.
• VAT: listed rates are in SAR and exclude VAT, which is added to the final invoice where it applies.

Typical projects for forklifts in Dammam

Dammam is the capital of the Eastern Province and a leading commercial and port city on the Saudi Gulf coast, close to the Kingdom's oil and gas facilities. Forklifts are core equipment for oil and gas, as well as logistics and ports work.

They are also hired for loading and unloading trucks and containers, as well as pallet handling and racking in warehouses.

Well-known industrial and project areas in and around Dammam include King Abdulaziz Port, Dammam, as well as Dammam Second Industrial City. Mention the exact site or zone in your request so suppliers can price delivery and mobilisation accurately.

Straight-line distances from Dammam to the nearest bases in our data: Al Khobar (about 20 km), Dhahran (about 15 km) and Jubail (about 80 km). Road distance and machine size drive mobilisation cost, so a supplier based closer is often cheaper to deliver from. Say in your request if you are open to a machine based elsewhere.
