What size of excavator do I need?

It depends on the depth and width of the dig, the reach needed from where the machine can stand, the material, and the space available to work and travel. Compact and mid-size machines suit tight sites and utility work; larger classes suit bulk excavation and truck loading. Send the dig dimensions, soil type and site access with your request and the supplier can recommend a class.

Can the excavator come with a breaker or other attachments?

Many suppliers can fit a hydraulic breaker, different buckets, a ripper or a quick coupler, but the attachment must suit the machine's class and hydraulic circuit. Attachments are usually priced separately, so ask for them to be listed in the quote.

How is an excavator delivered to site?

Tracked excavators travel on a low-bed trailer, so delivery and return are normally quoted as a separate mobilisation charge that depends on distance and machine size. Check that the site entrance and ground can take the trailer.
