Boom lift or scissor lift?

A scissor lift goes straight up and offers a large platform, which suits work directly overhead. A boom lift lets you reach up and across obstacles, so it suits facades, structures and awkward positions.

What does working height mean, and how high do I need?

Working height is typically the platform height plus roughly two metres of operator reach, but check the exact definition on the datasheet. Add a margin to the height you must reach, and tell the supplier the horizontal outreach you need as well.

Diesel, electric or hybrid boom lift?

Electric and hybrid booms are quieter and suit indoor or emission-sensitive work. Diesel, usually four-wheel-drive, suits rough outdoor ground. Tell the supplier the surface and location.
