Scissor Lifts for Sale in Makkah

What to check before buying scissor lifts

Buying scissor lifts in Makkah is a long-term commitment, so check these points first:

• Line up the key figures for scissor lifts: max working height and platform capacity. Check each against the data plate and the manufacturer's data for the model.
• Check battery condition on electric models and engine hours on diesel models.
• Ask for the ownership and registration documents and check that they match the machine's serial number.
• Arrange an inspection before you pay, ideally by someone independent of the seller.

Choosing the right scissor lift size

Scissor lifts are usually specified by max working height. On Arabian Tool you can browse these classes: 8m, 10m, 12m, 14m and 18m.

Working height assumes a person standing on the platform, so the platform floor is typically a couple of metres lower than the figure quoted. Check horizontal outreach as well as height before choosing a class.

If you prefer a particular make, these have dedicated pages: JLG, Genie, Skyjack and Snorkel. Standardising on one brand can simplify parts and operator training.

What affects the price of scissor lifts for sale

Two quotes for scissor lifts can differ widely for good reasons. Check these factors when you compare:

• Condition and hours: a lower hour-meter reading and a documented service history usually support a higher price.
• Year and model: newer models and popular configurations hold their value better.
• VAT: listed prices are in SAR and exclude VAT, which is added to the final invoice where it applies.

Typical projects for scissor lifts in Makkah

Makkah is the holiest city in Islam, located in the Hejaz region, with extensive construction and hospitality development serving Hajj and Umrah pilgrims. For construction work, scissor lifts are core equipment.

Other jobs that call for them: interior fit-out and painting, as well as cladding and facade work on low-rise buildings.

Mention the exact site or district in your request so suppliers can price delivery and mobilisation accurately.

Nearby bases and their straight-line distance from Makkah: Jeddah (about 75 km), Taif (about 60 km) and Madinah (about 350 km). Delivery is priced on the actual route and the machine's size, so ask each supplier for a delivered price.
