2-ton Forklifts for Rent in Sharjah

What to consider when renting 2-ton forklifts

Use this checklist when you compare offers for 2-ton forklifts:

• Know your numbers: the specifications that matter most for 2-ton forklifts are rated lifting capacity and max lift height. Having them to hand makes quotes faster and more accurate.
• 2-ton forklifts are usually hired without an operator unless the listing says otherwise; if your crew is not qualified to run one, ask for an operator with the machine.
• Ask for the current inspection certificate of the lifting equipment and the certification of the operator and rigger before the machine is mobilised.
• Confirm the minimum rental period, the daily, weekly or monthly rate, and what happens when the machine stands idle on site.
• Share the site location, access route and start date so the supplier can confirm availability for your dates.

What the 2-ton class means

On Arabian Tool, the 2-ton class groups forklifts whose rated lifting capacity falls roughly between 1 and 2.5 tonnes. Each machine is placed in the nearest class to its actual specification.

Rated capacity applies at a stated load centre and lift height. With attachments, a tall mast or an off-centre load the usable capacity is lower, so check the data plate against your heaviest pallet.

Not sure which class you need? Describe the job in your request and ask the supplier to confirm the size. You can also look at 3-ton forklifts, 5-ton forklifts, 7-ton forklifts, 10-ton forklifts and 16-ton forklifts.

What affects the price of renting 2-ton forklifts

Two quotes for 2-ton forklifts can differ widely for good reasons. Check these factors when you compare:

• Duration: longer hires are usually priced lower per day, and many suppliers quote daily, weekly and monthly rates.
• Site and access: remote sites, restricted access and special permits can add cost.
• Availability: rates can move with demand, so the same machine may be quoted differently at different times of year.

Typical projects for 2-ton forklifts in Sharjah

Sharjah is a city and emirate on the Gulf coast of the UAE, adjoining Dubai, with significant industrial areas, ports and free zones. For industrial and power, as well as logistics and ports work, 2-ton forklifts are core equipment.

Other jobs that call for them: pallet handling and racking in warehouses, as well as stacking materials in factories and yards.

If the machine you want is not in Sharjah, a supplier in a nearby city may be able to deliver it: Dubai (about 20 km) and Abu Dhabi (about 140 km), measured in a straight line. Tell us if you are flexible on where the machine starts from.
