Diesel Generators for Rent in Yanbu

What to consider when renting diesel generators

Use this checklist when you compare offers for diesel generators:

• Have the key figures ready. For diesel generators, suppliers will ask about rated output before they can price the hire.
• Diesel generators are usually hired without an operator unless the listing says otherwise; if your crew is not qualified to run one, ask for an operator with the machine.
• Settle the connection details early: cable and changeover arrangements, voltage and phase for generators, or air outlets, pressure and hose sizes for compressors.
• Ask what delivery and return cost, who loads and unloads, and the condition the machine must be returned in.
• Rates on Arabian Tool are in SAR and exclude VAT, so ask whether your quote is inclusive or exclusive.

Choosing the right diesel generator size

Most enquiries for diesel generators start with rated output. The classes you can open from this page are 20 kVA, 100 kVA, 250 kVA, 750 kVA and 1000 kVA.

Choose by total connected load plus the starting load of your largest motor, with some headroom. kVA multiplied by the power factor (typically 0.8) gives the kW available.

If you prefer a particular make, these have dedicated pages: Caterpillar, Perkins, FG Wilson and Aksa. Standardising on one brand can simplify parts and operator training.

What affects the price of renting diesel generators

Quotes for diesel generators differ from supplier to supplier. These are the factors that move the price:

• Delivery and return: mobilisation to and from your site is often charged separately and depends on distance and machine size.
• Site and access: remote sites, restricted access and special permits can add cost.
• VAT: listed rates are in SAR and exclude VAT, which is added to the final invoice where it applies.
