Boom Lifts for Rent in Dhahran

What to consider when renting boom lifts

Hiring boom lifts goes more smoothly when the basics are settled before you ask for prices. These points shape the quote:

• Know your numbers: the specifications that matter most for boom lifts are max working height, max horizontal outreach and platform capacity. Having them to hand makes quotes faster and more accurate.
• Check who will run it. Boom lifts are often dry hire, so if nobody on your crew is qualified, ask the supplier whether an operator can be added.
• Check working height and outreach against the actual task. Working height assumes a person standing on the platform, so the platform floor is lower than the figure quoted.
• Confirm the minimum rental period, the daily, weekly or monthly rate, and what happens when the machine stands idle on site.
• Ask for the registration, inspection and operator documents your site or client requires before the machine arrives.

Choosing the right boom lift size

Boom lifts are usually specified by max working height. On Arabian Tool you can browse these classes: 10m, 14m, 20m, 28m and 40m.

Working height assumes a person standing on the platform, so the platform floor is typically a couple of metres lower than the figure quoted. Check horizontal outreach as well as height before choosing a class.

If you prefer a particular make, these have dedicated pages: JLG, Haulotte, Snorkel and Sinoboom. Standardising on one brand can simplify parts and operator training.

What affects the price of renting boom lifts

Quotes for boom lifts differ from supplier to supplier. These are the factors that move the price:

• Duration: longer hires are usually priced lower per day, and many suppliers quote daily, weekly and monthly rates.
• Availability: rates can move with demand, so the same machine may be quoted differently at different times of year.
• VAT: listed rates are in SAR and exclude VAT, which is added to the final invoice where it applies.
