Excavators for Rent in Dubai

What to consider when renting excavators

Use this checklist when you compare offers for excavators:

• Know your numbers: the specifications that matter most for excavators are operating weight class and max digging reach. Having them to hand makes quotes faster and more accurate.
• Plan for the operator. Excavators are often supplied with a qualified operator, and whether fuel and overtime are part of the rate differs from supplier to supplier.
• Agree who covers routine servicing, wear parts and breakdown response during the hire, and how a replacement machine is arranged if one is needed.
• Confirm the minimum rental period, the daily, weekly or monthly rate, and what happens when the machine stands idle on site.
• Rates on Arabian Tool are in SAR and exclude VAT, so ask whether your quote is inclusive or exclusive.

Choosing the right excavator size

The first question for excavators is operating weight class. Arabian Tool groups listings into these classes: 14-ton, 20-ton, 30-ton, 50-ton and 70-ton.

If you prefer a particular make, these have dedicated pages: Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hyundai and Kobelco. Standardising on one brand can simplify parts and operator training.

What affects the price of renting excavators

Two quotes for excavators can differ widely for good reasons. Check these factors when you compare:

• Duration: longer hires are usually priced lower per day, and many suppliers quote daily, weekly and monthly rates.
• Machine size and age: larger, newer or better-equipped machines are priced higher.
• Availability: rates can move with demand, so the same machine may be quoted differently at different times of year.

Typical projects for excavators in Dubai

Dubai is the largest city in the United Arab Emirates and a major regional hub for construction, trade and logistics, home to Jebel Ali Port. For construction work, excavators are core equipment. You will often see excavators on logistics and ports sites.

Other jobs that call for them: foundation, basement and pit excavation, as well as site clearing, grading and backfilling.

Well-known industrial and project areas in and around Dubai include Jebel Ali Port, Jebel Ali Free Zone and Dubai Industrial City. Mention the exact site or zone in your request so suppliers can price delivery and mobilisation accurately.

If the machine you want is not in Dubai, a supplier in a nearby city may be able to deliver it: Sharjah (about 20 km) and Abu Dhabi (about 120 km), measured in a straight line. Tell us if you are flexible on where the machine starts from.
