Earthmoving Equipment for Sale in Jeddah

What to check before buying earthmoving equipment

Buying earthmoving equipment in Jeddah is a long-term commitment, so check these points first:

• Ask for the hour-meter reading, service records and a recent inspection report, and compare them with the condition of the undercarriage, hydraulics and cab.
• Ask for the ownership and registration documents and check that they match the machine's serial number.
• Prices on Arabian Tool are in SAR and exclude VAT, so ask whether your quote is inclusive or exclusive.

Types of earthmoving equipment

Choose the type first for the job in hand, then open its page for the available sizes and brands. This group has 12 types: excavators, mini excavators, backhoe loaders, wheel loaders, bulldozers, skid steer loaders, motor graders, dump trucks, scrapers, trenchers, pipelayers and tractors.

• Backhoe Loaders: Wheeled tractor-style machines with a front loader bucket and a rear digging arm (the backhoe), operated from a single cab.
• Bulldozers: Heavy tracked tractors with a front blade for pushing, spreading and rough-grading soil, rock and aggregate.
• Skid Steer Loaders: Compact, rigid-frame loaders that turn by driving the wheels or tracks on each side at different speeds.
• Tractors: Wheeled tractors used for towing, hauling and powering implements.

What affects the price of earthmoving equipment for sale

Two quotes for earthmoving equipment can differ widely for good reasons. Check these factors when you compare:

• Condition and hours: a lower hour-meter reading and a documented service history usually support a higher price.
• Location and transport: moving heavy equipment adds cost that depends on distance and machine size.
• VAT: listed prices are in SAR and exclude VAT, which is added to the final invoice where it applies.

Typical projects for earthmoving equipment in Jeddah

Jeddah is a major Red Sea port city and the commercial hub of western Saudi Arabia, home to Jeddah Islamic Port. For logistics and ports, as well as construction work, earthmoving equipment is core equipment.

Well-known industrial and project areas in and around Jeddah include Jeddah Islamic Port and Jeddah Industrial City. Mention the exact site or zone in your request so suppliers can price delivery and mobilisation accurately.

If the machine you want is not in Jeddah, a supplier in a nearby city may be able to deliver it: Makkah (about 75 km), Taif (about 130 km) and Yanbu (about 310 km), measured in a straight line. Tell us if you are flexible on where the machine starts from.
