• Line up the key figures for Caterpillar pipelayers: max lifting capacity. Check each against the data plate and the manufacturer's data for the model.
• Ask for the hour-meter reading, service records and a recent inspection report, and compare them with the condition of the undercarriage, hydraulics and cab.
• Arrange an inspection before you pay, ideally by someone independent of the seller.
• Agree what is included in the price, who arranges transport, and the payment and handover terms in writing.

Typical projects for Caterpillar pipelayers in Ras Al-Khair

Ras Al-Khair is an industrial and port area on the Gulf coast north of Jubail, known for Ma'aden's mining and metals processing complex and a large power and desalination plant. In mining and quarrying, as well as industrial and power, Caterpillar pipelayers are a more specialised choice.

Other jobs that call for them: cross-country oil, gas and water pipeline construction, as well as lowering coated pipe into trenches.

If the machine you want is not in Ras Al-Khair, a supplier in a nearby city may be able to deliver it: Jubail (about 65 km) and Dammam (about 150 km), measured in a straight line. Tell us if you are flexible on where the machine starts from.
