Earthmoving Equipment for Sale in Saudi Arabia

What to check before buying earthmoving equipment

Before you commit to buying earthmoving equipment, work through these checks:

• Ask for the hour-meter reading, service records and a recent inspection report, and compare them with the condition of the undercarriage, hydraulics and cab.
• Arrange an inspection before you pay, ideally by someone independent of the seller.
• Agree what is included in the price, who arranges transport, and the payment and handover terms in writing.

Types of earthmoving equipment

Choose the type first for the job in hand, then open its page for the available sizes and brands. This group has 12 types: excavators, mini excavators, backhoe loaders, wheel loaders, bulldozers, skid steer loaders, motor graders, dump trucks, scrapers, trenchers, pipelayers and tractors.

• Mini Excavators: Compact excavators of roughly six tonnes or less, with zero or reduced tail swing and rubber or steel tracks.
• Backhoe Loaders: Wheeled tractor-style machines with a front loader bucket and a rear digging arm (the backhoe), operated from a single cab.
• Wheel Loaders: Articulated, wheeled loaders with a front bucket for scooping, carrying and loading bulk material such as sand, aggregate and spoil.
• Bulldozers: Heavy tracked tractors with a front blade for pushing, spreading and rough-grading soil, rock and aggregate.

What affects the price of earthmoving equipment for sale

Two quotes for earthmoving equipment can differ widely for good reasons. Check these factors when you compare:

• Condition and hours: a lower hour-meter reading and a documented service history usually support a higher price.
• Brand and support: well-supported brands with local parts availability tend to be priced higher.
• Location and transport: moving heavy equipment adds cost that depends on distance and machine size.
